U S B M O D E M This Quick Start describes USB modem installation for ® ® Windows , Macintosh and Linux systems. Quick Start Make sure you have the following: USB modem with built-in USB cable Phone cord Windows Me and 98 users: Please go to page 7. - Page 4 Windows Vista: If a message appears saying that Windows can't verify the publisher of this driver software, click Install this driver software anyway. Important—If Your PC Already Had a Modem You must redirect your application software so that it recognizes your new modem. • America Online 9.0 users: On the AOL Sign on screen, click the Connect Options button. On the Connect Options dialog box, select Advanced Settings. - Page 10 In the Network dialog box, open the Show list and select USB Modem. On the PPP tab, enter the information that your Internet Service Provider (ISP) has given to you. If your ISP has given you TCP/IP or Proxies information, open those tabs and enter the information.
