Step Three
Remove the cover.
The bar and chain can now be removed
by lifting it away from the main body of
the polesaw. Release the chain from the
sprocket.
The polesaw can now be cleaned with a
brush and/or rag to remove sawdust and
oil.
Step Four
To replace the bar and chain, loop the
chain over the sprocket and place the bar
against the bar stud slot.

Step Five
Ensure that the chain tensioning pin is
located in the tensioning hole on the bar,
and that the rubber block and bar are free
from oil. This helps keep the tension on
the chain.

MAINTENANCE
Step Six
Replace the bar cover and bar cover knob.
Turn the bar cover knob clockwise until it
is loosely tightened. The bar must be free
to move for tension adjustment.
Step Seven
Turn the tension adjustment screw
clockwise with a screwdriver.
Step Eight
Turn the turn adjustment screw until there
is enough play that the chain can be pulled
away from the bar, but not so much that
the runners can be pulled out of the bar.
Once you have the correct tension, fully
tighten the bar cover knob.
