The telephone enables connection via the Blue-
tooth® "hands-free profile"
Delete telephone from the list of known devices
To display the recycle bin icon and the available
SmartLink connections, click the
row, press and drag to the left. If the connection icon
is green, the connection is active.
Conditions for connecting a telephone with
Infotainment
✓ The Bluetooth® function of the Infotainment and
the telephone needs to be switched on.
The Bluetooth® function of the Infotainment is
switched on in the menu item
Bluetooth.
✓ Visibility of the Infotainment is switched on.
The visibility of the Infotainment is switched on in
the menu item
Connect via BT Visibility.
✓ The telephone is within signal range of the Info-
tainment's Bluetooth® unit.
✓ The telephone is compatible with Infotainment.
✓ The phone is visible to the Infotainment.
Telephone operation
Enter telephone number
In the Telephone main menu, tap .
Enter the telephone number using the numeric
keypad that is displayed.
The displayed numeric keypad can also be used
for searching for contacts.
If, for example, the digits 32 are entered, contacts
with the letter sequence DA, FA, EB etc. are dis-
played next to the numeric keypad.
List of telephone contacts
The list of telephone contacts is imported from the
currently selected phone.
To display the contact list in the telephone main
menu, tap .
To search within the list, tap on .
Enter the details you wish to find.
To establish a connection with a contact, tap the
functional area showing the desired contact.
If a contact has multiple telephone numbers, select
the telephone number from the displayed list.
Establish a connection to the voice mailbox num-
ber
In the Telephone main menu, tap

Telephone call
Depending on the context of the telephone conver-
sation, the following functions can be selected.
End connection set-up / reject incoming call /
end call
Answer an incoming call
Return to the call on hold
Switch the ringer off / on

Hold a call

Switch the microphone off / on
Show details of the caller
Answer a call from the second telephone during
a call on the first telephone
The ongoing call on the first telephone is termi-
nated by accepting the call.
To switch the call tone from the speakers to the
phone, tap .
To switch the call tone from the telephone to the
speakers, tap .
Settings of the Infotainment telephone
functions
Telephone-Infotainment-Connection types
The way in which the telephone is connected de-
pends on the number of phones currently connected
to the Infotainment.
No telephone - The telephone is connected as a
main telephone.
One telephone - The telephone is connected as an
additional telephone.
Two telephones - Select the telephone to be re-
placed.
To switch between the main telephone and the
additional telephone, tap on
Select the desired phone.
Connect the telephone to Infotainment
Find available Bluetooth® devices in the mobile de-
vice.
Select the Infotainment Bluetooth® unit.
The name of the unit can be found in the menu
item
Connect via BT Enter device name.
Confirm the PIN; enter it if necessary and then
confirm.
Connect Infotainment to a non-paired mobile de-
vice
Tap on
Select mobile phone.
Select the desired device from the list of available
devices.
Select the desired Bluetooth® profile.
Confirm the PIN; enter it if necessary and then
confirm.
in the Phone menu.
