Setting up the machine
Changing the needle
With longarm quilting, a huge number of stitches are sewn in a short period of time and the needle wears
out quickly. This is why you must replace the needle regularly. Insert a new needle at least before each new
quilting project, because only a perfect point results in a clean stitch.
Required parts and tools:
• New needle
• Torx T6 screwdriver
> Raise the needle.
> Lower or remove the presser foot.
> Switch the machine off.
> Loosen the screw.
> Pull the needle away in a downward direction.
> Insert the new needle with the flat side to the rear.
> Slide the needle upwards as far as it will go.
> Tighten the screw.
Changing the stitch plate
Replace the stitch plate in the following cases:
• If you want to work with a double needle.
• If the stitch plate is damaged.
Required parts and tools:
• New stitch plate
> Switch the machine off.
> Remove the presser foot.
