Cleaning the hook

CAUTION
Risk of injury near the needle and the hook.
> Switch off the machine and disconnect it from the power supply.
> Remove the needle and presser foot.
> Press down the stitch plate at its right rear corner until it tips.
> Remove the stitch plate.
> Open the hook cover.
> Remove the bobbin case.
> Remove dust, fabric and thread lint with the brush.
> Insert the bobbin case.
> Close the hook cover.
Lubricating the machine
The machine should be lubricated once a day or after a prolonged period of non-use.

> Switch off the machine and disconnect it from the power supply.
> Remove the presser foot and the needle.
> Remove the stitch plate.
> Turn the handwheel until the hook race is visible and accessible.
