2.4.10 Heading Settings

The most used system settings for Heading can be altered in the MAP screen (Figure 20: DP MAP Screen on page
32). Heading information and settings are displayed at the lower center of the screen in the area of the actual heading
display.

2.4.10.1 Change Heading Set Point

In the MAP Screen (Figure 20: DP MAP Screen on page 32) the heading Set Point may be changed in two ways. The
system must be in Auto Heading or Auto Position Mode to use the Heading Set Point.
2.4.10.1.1 Change Heading Set Point to a Particular Angle
To change Heading Set Point to a particular angle perform the following actions:
1. Locate HSP (Heading Set Point) input and display at the center lower part of the screen (Figure 49: Heading Settings
on page 60).
2. Click on – (decrease) or + (increase) buttons until desired heading is reached. See also how a dashed line shows the
new heading input in the MAP area.
3. Press Apply to confirm once heading Set Point has been entered.
If the vessel is in Auto Heading or Auto Position it will start to rotate to the new heading angle.
Note Alternatively it is possible to double click on the yellow HSP number to input a heading with digit input.
2.4.10.1.2 Change Heading Set Point to Actual Heading
To change Heading Set Point to a Actual heading, perform the following actions:
1. Locate CURRENT HEADING button at the center lower part of the screen.
2. Click on the Current HDG button to change the actual heading to the new heading Set Point.
3. Press APPLY to confirm.
If the vessel is in auto heading or auto position it will keep to the new heading angle immediately.
