To reduce the risk of serious injury whenever you are instructed to relieve pressure, always follow
the Pressure Relief Procedure (page 10).
For pump service see manual 309136. For hydraulic motor service see manual 308048.

Clogged fluid outlet line, valves, etc.
Worn packings
Worn piston packings
Improperly installed ball check valves Check and correct. See 309136.
Exhausted fluid supply
Held open or worn check valves
Worn piston packings
Restricted hydraulic power supply

Exhausted fluid supply
Clogged fluid outlet line, valves, etc.
Damaged hydraulic motor
Fluid dried on piston rod
Solution(s)
Clear any obstructions; be sure all
valves are open; increase pressure.
Refill and reprime pump. In an air-pow-
ered system, use pump runaway valve.
Clear.
Tighten packing nut; replace all pack-
ings. See 309136.
Check and repair. See 309136.
Replace. See 309136.
Refill and reprime pump. In an air-pow-
ered system, use pump runaway valve.

Clear any obstructions; be sure all shut-
off valves are open; increase pressure.
