THE IMPORTANCE OF
MAINTENANCE
A well-maintained motorcycle is essential
for safe, economical and trouble-free riding.
It will also help reduce air pollution.
Because this motorcycle is capable of being
ridden over rough off-road terrain as well as
on pavement, careful pre-ride inspections
and good maintenance are especially
important.
To help you properly care for your
motorcycle, the following pages include a
Maintenance Schedule and a Maintenance
R e c o r d f o r r e g u l a r l y s c h e d u l e d
maintenance.
These instructions are based on the
assumption that the motorcycle will be used
exclusively for its designed purpose.
Sustained high speed operation or operation
in unusually wet or dusty conditions will
require more f requent service than
specified in the Maintenance Schedule.

If your motorcycle overturns or becomes
involved in a crash, be sure your Honda
dealer inspects all major parts, even if you
are able to make some repairs.
Improperly maintaining this motorcycle

you ride can cause a crash in which
you can be seriously hurt or killed.
