11. STORAGE

Remove the engine switch key and store the snow thrower in an area
free of humidity, dust, and direct sunlight.
Before storing the snow thrower for an extended period:
1. Drain the fuel tank and carburetor.
• Gasoline is extremely flammable and is explosive under certain
conditions.
• Handle fuel in a well-ventilated area with the engine stopped.
Do not smoke or allow flames or sparks in the area.
• Be careful not to spill fuel when handling fuel. Spilled fuel or fuel
vapor may ignite. If any fuel is spilled, make sure the area is dry.
• Avoid repeated or prolonged contact with skin or breathing of vapor.
KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN.
• Do not drain the fuel tank when the exhaust system is hot.
a. Drain all gasoline from the fuel
tank into an approved gasoline
container. We recommend
using a commercially available
gasoline hand pump. Do not
use an electric pump.
b. Turn the fuel valve lever to the
ON position.
c. Loosen the carburetor drain
knob and drain the gasoline into
a suitable container.
d. Tighten the drain knob securely.
e. Turn the fuel valve lever to the
OFF position.
