Chapter 4
This Chapter details the operation of XRT and the status screens.
Operation
Once both XRT and the PCs are configured, operation is automatic.
However, there are some situations where additional Internet configuration may be required:
•
If using Internet-based Communication Applications, it may be necessary to specify
which PC receives an incoming connection. Please refer to Virtual server, Special
Application , and DMZ related sections for further details.
•
Applications that use non-standard connections or port numbers may be blocked by XRT's
built-in firewall. You can define such applications as Special Applications to allow them
to function normally. You may refer to Special Application section for further details.
•
Some non-standard applications may require use of the DMZ feature. You may refer to
DMZ section for further details.
Status Screen
The Status section allows you to monitor the machine status of your XRT. You can use the
Status page to monitor: WAN/LAN interfaces connection status, current firmware and
hardware version information, system operation logs, illegal activities toward your network,
and information on DHCP clients connected to your XRT.

DHCP PC Client Log Displays XRT DHCP client's information
Please select one of the Status selections and proceed to relevant sub-section for further
information.
Displays XRT's system information (MAC address, Firmware
version, etc.)
Display your XRT current Internet connection status and other related
information.
Displays XRT's current IP address, DHCP, Firewall setting status
Displays machine system wide information, and illegal attempts or
hack activities toward your network.
