Original exit detector leading/trailing edge OFF check.
Original is too long. (Maximum: 4 meters)
Recycle gate does not return to the original position (up
position) when the recycle gate solenoid turns off.
Recycle gate does not move to the down position when
the recycle gate solenoid turns on.
Runaway detection. (Original feed clutch stays on
longer than 125 seconds.)
CAUSE OF JAM
Initial jam.
Paper remains in the machine when the Call Service in-
dicator turns on.
Paper from the auto feeder does not reach the 2nd feed
detector within 4 seconds.
Registration sensor leading edge OFF check.
Registration sensor leading edge ON check.
2nd feed detector leading edge ON check.
2nd feed detector leading edge OFF check.
Original is not set within 10 seconds after paper is set.
Paper is pulled out after the registration sensor turns on
but before the registration clutch turns on.
Multiple paper feed from the auto feeder.
2nd feed detector does not detect the trailing edge of
the paper.
2nd feed detector ON check.
Registration sensor is not on at the time that the registra-
tion clutch turns on. (Possible sensor failure)
Upper exit sensor leading edge ON check.
