If there is a problem with your power burner, please check the following before contacting
your local Fisher & Paykel trained and supported service technician or DCS Customer Care
Centre.
PROBLEM
The product won't light
when the ignition is
pushed
Burner flame is yellow or
orange in conjunction with
the odor of gas.
Low heat with dial in the
HI position.
Burner power too high in
the
position.
LOW
Dial halos don't illuminate.

TROUBLESHOOTING

POSSIBLE CAUSES
There is no gas flowing to the unit.
There is a something blocking the
air or gas flow.
Dirt or dust may be present in the
area.
Incorrect gas supply or type.
Fuel hose may be bent or kinked.
Burner may need cleaning.
If using LP gas, supply may be low
or empty.
Low flame setting has been
incorrectly set.
Power supply is off.
GFI has tripped (Ground Fault
Interrupter).
WHAT TO DO
Check gas supply and connections.
Ensure no air is trapped in line.
Check all openings for blockages.
Check that the unit is connected
to a live AC power source.
Check GFI outlet, reset if tripped.
Move to a less dusty area and
check for obstructions.
Confirm gas supply and type.
Check hose is routed correctly.
Follow cleaning instructions.
Check supply, refill tank if needed.
Refer to 'Low flame adjustment' for
details.
Check that the unit is connected
to a live AC power source.
Check GFI outlet, reset if tripped.
Check power supply fuse, replace
if blown.
