4.2.1
Headset Operation
For headset use, depress the middle button labeled "HANDSET/
MODULE ON" so the red color indicator is visible
(FIGURE 10).

To place a call, remove the handset from its cradle. You should
hear a dial tone in the headset. Dial normally, To end this call,
h a n g u p t h e h a n d s e t .

To answer a call, remove the handset from its cradle. You can
now hear and be heard through the headset by the calling party.
To end the call, hang up the handset.

Normal Telephone Operation

For handset use, depress the "HANDSET/MODULE ON"
(middle) button so that the red color indicatar does not appear.
Pick up your handset and use your phone as you normally
would.
4.4
Setting the Listenting Volume Control
To set the headset volume control to the hearing level most
comfortable to you, start with the wheel turned to number 1,
the lowest level. To increase the volume, rotate the wheel to a
higher number (FIGURE 11).

Using the Mute Button on the StaR Adapter

4.5.1
To mute your call while still hearing the caller, depress and
release the "MUTE" (right) button so that the red color indicator
is visible. (FIGURE 12).
4.5.2
To resume speaking to your caller, depress and release the
"MUTE" (right) button again so that the red color indicator
does not appear.
