Starting Up and Initial
Settings
When you connect a monitor to the unit, and power on
for the first time, the starting screen appears and it is
then followed by the language selection screen.

Note
When "PAL" is selected as the output video signal
format with the DIP switches on the rear panel (see
page 6), English is automatically selected as the menu
language and the selection cannot be changed. The
"Initial Setup" screen appears.
When the language selection screen appears, carry out
the following procedure using the remote controller.

With the b and B buttons, select the language you
want to use in the menus, and press the ENTER
button.
This confirms the language selection, and the
"Initial Setup" screen appears.

With "1. System Date/Time" selected, press the
ENTER button.
The date and time can now be set.

Using the b and B buttons, select the item to set
(date or time).
Note
The date and time must always be set, because
some functions rely on the internal system clock.

With the numeric buttons, enter the required setting
value.
Alternatively, use the v and V buttons to adjust the
value.

Repeat steps 3 and 4 until the date and time have
been set.

When the setting is complete, press the ENTER
button.

Carry out any of the following.
• Press numeric button 2, then press the ENTER
button.
• Using the v and V buttons, select "2. IP Address
Setup," and press the ENTER button.
Whether to set the IP address automatically or fix it
can now be selected.

Using the b and B buttons, select "Automatically"
or "Fixed" depending on your network
configuration and operating mode, then press the
ENTER button.
• If you select "Automatically," the screen changes
as follows.
