RECORDING - ADVANCED OPERATION

DRIVE MODES

The drive modes control the rate and
method images are captured. Indicators
indicating the selected drive mode appear
on the monitor. If auto reset (page 63) is
active, the drive mode is reset to single-
frame advance when the camera is turned
off.
With the mode switch set to still-image
recording or Digital Subject Programs,
press the down key of the controller to
select the drive mode 1.
Single-frame advance: To take a single image each time the shutter release
button is pressed. This is the camera's default setting.
Self-timer: To delay the release of the shutter (page 55). Used for self-
portraits.
Sequential: To take up to four images when the shutter release button is
pressed and held (page 56).
High speed sequential: To take eleven 1,280 × 960 size images in one
second when the shutter release button is pressed and held (page 56).
Multi Frame: To create a composite image of a nine-frame series when the
shutter release button is pressed once, see the following page.
