    CLEANING THE AIR FILTER 1. Press the switch to the STOP position to stop the engine. 2. Remove the spark plug boot. 3. Remove the air filter cover by pushing down the latch with your thumb while gently pulling on the cover. 4.

    REPLACING THE SPARK PLUG 1. Press the switch to the STOP position to stop the engine. 2. Remove the spark plug boot. 3. Use a combination wrench to unlock the spark plug. 4. Remove the spark plug.
  • Page 24 5. Hand thread the new spark plug by turning it clockwise for 5 turns.Tighten securely with a combination wrench at 13.5-20.3 Nm 13.5 Nm to 20.3 Nm for 1/2 turn after finger tight. NOTE: Recommended spark plug is 1/2 turn RCJ6Y (Champion).
  • Page 25 CLEANING THE MUFFLER AND SPARK ARRESTOR 1. Press the switch to the STOP position to stop the engine. 2. Untighten and remove the screws. 3. Remove the muffler cover. 4. Remove the muffler.
  • Page 26 5. Untighten the screws and remove the cover from the spark arrestor. 6. Clean the spark arrestor with a brush. 7. Reinstall the spark arrestor cover. Reinstall and tighten the screws. 8. Reinstall the muffler.

    STORING THE HEDGE TRIMMER 1. Press the switch to the STOP position to stop the engine. NOTE: Clean all foreign materials from the product. 2. Cover the blade with the scabbard. 3. Loosen and remove the fuel cap. Drain all the fuel from the tank into a container approved for petrol.
