VEHICLE CONTROLS
Customizing the Door Lock Settings
Follow the steps below when the vehicle is stopped and the power mode is ON.
Use the interface dial to rotate to and select options.
Auto Door Lock Choices Auto Door Unlock Choices
With Vehicle Speed All Doors When Driver's Door Opens
Shift from Park All Doors When Shifted to Park
Off All Doors When Ignition Switched Off
Off
1. Select Settings.
2. Select Vehicle Settings.
3. Select Door Setup:
• To customize door lock settings, Select Auto Door Lock.
• To customize door unlock settings, select Auto Door Unlock.
4. Choose a setting:
• The default lock setting is With Vehicle Speed.
• The default unlock setting is All Doors when Driver's Door Opens.
5. Press BACK when you are done.
Walk Away Auto Lock
When you walk away from the vehicle while carrying the remote transmitter, the
doors can automatically lock if the following conditions are met:
• The remote transmitter is within a range of 5 feet (1.5 m).
• All doors and the hood are closed.
• There is not an additional remote transmitter inside the vehicle.
Follow these steps (see diagram):
1. Carry the remote transmitter while you exit the
vehicle. Close all the doors and stay near the
vehicle. Listen for a beep. The system is activated.
2. Walk at least 5 feet (1.5 m) away.
3. Listen for a beep and look for the lights to flash.
The doors lock.
To turn on this feature, follow the steps below:
1. From the HOME screen, select Settings.
2. Select Vehicle. The vehicle must be in Park (P).
3. Select Door/Window Setup.
4. Select Walk Away Auto Lock.
5. Select On.
6. Select BACK to exit the menus.

Tailgate Outer Handle
Press and hold the tailgate release button under
the tailgate handle to unlock and open the tailgate.
The vehicle can be on or off.
If there is not enough clearance for the tailgate
to fully open, press and hold the tailgate release
button until you hear three beeps. The tailgate
unlatches and you can open it manually.
Power Tailgate Operation
Use these methods to operate the power tailgate.
Power Tailgate Button
The vehicle must be in Park (P).
Press and hold the power tailgate button on the
inside of the driver's door to open the tailgate.
Press it again at any time to close it.
Power Tailgate Inner Button
Press the power tailgate close button to
automatically close the tailgate. Press it again at
any time to reverse the tailgate direction.
Manual Operation
Press the tailgate release button (under the tailgate
handle) until you hear three beeps. Position the
tailgate manually.
WARNING
Closing or opening the power tailgate while anyone is in the path of the
tailgate can cause serious injury.
Make sure everyone is clear before operating the tailgate.
