5 Use your TV

This section helps you perform basic TV
operations. Instructions on advanced TV
operations are also available (see 'Use more of

Switch your TV on/off or to
standby
Switch on your TV

• If LightGuide (1) is off, press POWER on
the side of the TV.

Press POWER on the side of the TV.

Switch your TV to standby
Standby on the remote control.
• Press
LightGuide switches off and the

standby indicator switches on (red).
Tip
•
Though your TV consumes very little power when in
standby, energy continues to be consumed as long as
the mains remain connected and powered. When not
in use for extended periods of time, switch off and
disconnect the TV from the mains.
Switch on the TV from standby
• If the power indicator is in
(red), press Standby on the remote control.
