MEDIA PLAYER

With the Ford Audio Media Player
you can play, via the car sound system,
the digital audio files stored on a USB
device by simply connecting it to the
USB port located in the car.
In this way, while you are driving you
can play your favourite personal music
collections.

The Media Player enables the following
operations:
Ì iPod player – see "Management of
audio files from iPod devices".
Ì Digital audio playback – you can
play back your digital audio files or
a customised playlist (see "Compatible
digital audio files").
Ì Audio selection by category – you
can play back all audio in a certain
category, e.g. album, artist or genre.
Ì Using the playback functions
– whilst playing tracks you can use
other functions such as Play, Stop,
Next, Previous, Shuffle and Track loop.
Note
Media Player does not support DRM
(Digital Rights Management) protected
audio files. Unsupported audio files on
the USB device will be ignored (see
"Compatible digital audio files").
To use the Media Player, you have
to simply connect (directly or by
an extension lead) your USB device to
the car USB port. Turning the ignition
key to MAR, Ford Audio will start
building your media library. At the end
of this operation you can surf the whole
library and scroll its categories as
required using the buttons on the
steering wheel or voice commands.
Ford Audio will then play your
selection via the car sound system.
