Probable cause
Ì The user has not entered the PIN
code provided by the system into their
mobile phone within three minutes
Ì The caller is not recognized as a name
stored in the phonebook, and the
paired mobile phone does not have
a called ID feature
Ì The caller has blocked caller ID to
prevent the system from displaying
the caller's name and/or phone
number
Ì The maximum number of failed
phonebook downloading attempts
has been exceeded
Ì The Ford Audio syncML profile
configuration on the mobile phone is
not present or not correct
Ì Some Ford Audio functions, which
require the user to pay attention to
the control panel display, are only
available when the car is stopped.
Ì Even occasional glances at the control
panel display can be dangerous and
divert your attention from driving.
Possible solution
Retry the pairing procedure. During the PIN
entering step, verify that the PIN number
you are entering on the mobile phone
is the same number that is shown on
the instrument panel display
SETTING FUNCTIONS – PAIRING YOUR
MOBILE PHONE
Enter a contact in your mobile phonebook for the
incoming call, and then download your phonebook/
contact again
In this case, nothing can be done
and the message will always appear
Check whether your mobile phone is supported
Or, configure syncML on your mobile phone following
the corresponding instructions and setting it according
to the suggestions shown on the above web site
Delete users using the settings
Or manually download the phonebook
(see SETTINGS FUNCTIONS paragraph)
Stop your car and attempt to perform the function
again manually, or continue driving and perform the
function using the voice recognition system
