Press each cartridge down until it clicks.

Close the cartridge cover. Press down until it clicks.

Lower the scanner.

Press the OK button to charge the ink. Charging takes about 2 minutes.
Caution:
Don't turn off the printer while it is charging or you'll waste ink.

Load paper

Open the paper support and pull up the extensions.

Open the output tray, pull out the extensions, and raise the stopper.
Note:
Do not raise the stopper for legal-size paper.

Flip the feeder guard forward, then squeeze the edge guide and
slide it left.

Load paper against the right edge and behind the tab, with the printable
side face up.

Don't load the paper sideways; always load it short edge first.

Slide the edge guide over.
