Connecting the power cord included (with
this keyboard)
Connect the included power cord to the AC Power
connector. We recommend that you first connect the
power cord to the prologue, and then connect the other
end of the cord to an AC outlet.
Make sure that your AC outlet is the correct volt-
age for your instrument.
Connecting to other devices
Connect the prologue as appropriate for your own
sound system.
Be sure that the power on all of your devices is
turned off before you make connections. Leav-
ing the power on when you make connections
may cause malfunctions, or damage your speaker
system and other components.
Connecting to audio devices
• C onnect your powered monitor speaker, mixer or
other components to the OUTPUT jack (monaural
output) of the prologue. Adjust the volume level us-
ing the MASTER knob.
• C onnect your headphones to the headphones jack.
This jack outputs the same signal as that of the OUT-
PUT jack.
Connecting to MIDI devices or a computer
• T o exchange MIDI messages with an external MIDI
device, connect the device to the MIDI IN/OUT con-
nectors on the prologue.

• T o exchange MIDI messages with your computer,
connect your computer to the USB B connector on
the prologue.
When connecting to MIDI device or a computer

Connecting the SYNC IN and OUT jacks
• U se the SYNC IN and OUT jacks when you want to
synchronize the output pulses and steps from the
SYNC IN/OUT jacks of the Korg volca series or the
audio out jacks of a DAW. Use a stereo mini-cable
for this connection.

Connecting a foot controller
• T he DAMPER jack allows users to connect a damper
pedal, such as the DS-1H. When pressing the damper
pedal, notes played on the keyboard will be ex-
tended, and continue playing even after keys are
released.
• T he EXPRESSION jack allows users to connect a vol-
ume/expression pedal, such as the XVP-20. This can
be used to apply modulation to the sound or effect
parameters to which it is assigned.
To ensure the proper functioning of the damper

pedal, polarity and other settings may need to be
adjusted, refer to the Owner's Manual for details
