Introduction TANDBERG Gateway The TANDBERG Gateway Front view The front of the gateway contains 24 Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs) organized in three groups. These diodes provide information about PRI-line status, LAN (Ethernet) connection and power. Red Alarm or Loss of signal (LOS) indicates that there is no signal and thus no framing info received. The same effect will be obtained by pulling out the PRI cable.

  • Page 27 The Expressway solution solves both the firewall problem and the dial plan problem. Using Expressway, audio and video can traverse firewalls securely. Expressway is natively supported in the TANDBERG Gateway. As part of an Expressway solution, a Gateway can be made accessible to e.g. home users and branch offices, reducing the need to deploy ISDN at all locations.
  • Page 28 Features TANDBERG Gateway In a typical enterprise setup, such as the one in the previous figure, the Gateway is registered with a Gatekeeper, and the Gatekeeper is registered with the Border Controller. In this scenario, the native Expressway functionality in the Gateway enables media to be routed directly between the Gateway and the Border Controller, reducing latency.
