ADDRESS SEARCH
This function makes
it
possible to locate a
specific
numbered address signal on
the
tape
Enter the number of the desired numbered address
signal using the NUMBER buttons on the remote
control unit.
Press the ADDRESS SEARCH button on
the
re-
mote control
unit.
When the specified address signal has been located,
its number is shown on the counter display.
If the detected address number is found
to
be larger
than the desired address number while searching in
the forward direction, address search switches to the
reverse direction.
Normal playback is resumed when the specified address
signal is located.

If the address signal numbers
are
not recorded in ascending order
on
the tape, address search sometimes will
not function by pressing the ADDRESS SEARCH button.
In such cases, enter the desired address number and then press the
+
button if the desired program is in the
forward direction
or
press the -button if
the
desired program is in the reverse direction.
If the end of the tape is reached while searching for
an address number in the forward direction, address search
begins in the reverse direction.
If the beginning of the tape is reached while searching
for an address number in the reverse diredion, address
search is automatically released and normal playback is resumed.
