Load a cassette with the erasure prevention tab intact.
o
T o view the channel selected for recording, press the VIDEO/lV button to VIDEO, turn ON the TV and set to
the Video Channel (3 or
4).
If the VCR has been connected
to
the video and audio inputs of your TV or monitor,
then select video or external input instead. .
Select the channel you wish
to
record using the VCR CHANNEL SELECTOR buttons.
Press the TAPE SPEED button to the desired tape speed SP or El?
Press the REC button to begin recording.

Attempting to record on a cassette that has had its erasure prevention tab removed will result in the cassette
being ejected when the REC button is pressed (refer
to
the
"TD
PREVENT ACCIDENTAL ERASURE on page
26).
Press the PAUSEISTILL button to momentarily stop recording.
Press again to resume recording.

Press the STOP button to stop recording.

Press the REWIREV SEARCH button to rewind the tape
The tape automatically rewinds when il reaches the end (automatic rewind).

T o protect the tape, after
about
5 minutes in the record pause mode the recording will stop.
The REC button will not function unless the tape is in the stop, pause or still mode.
EP recordings made on this VCR cannot be played on VHS VCRs with only SP
or
SPRP playback capability.
