2-5-3. Setting the RET Input
Set format of the return signal that is input to RET 1 to
RET 3 connectors on the rear panel of this unit.
Set the desired aspect ratio using the switch on the DTX-
1A boards.
The aspect ratio also can be set on the maintenance menu
or the configuration menu of the MSU-700A/750. For
more details, refer to the System Manual.
Setting Format of the Return Signal
Setup switch : RETURN SET switch (S605) on the DTX-
1A panel (Factory setting : HD)
HD : When HD-SDI signal is input as return signal.
SD : When SD-SDI or analog VBS signal is input as
return signal. (not supported)
REM : When the reference is set from RM/MSU or a
device that is connected outside.

Setting the Aspect Ratio for Up-conversion
When the RETURN SET switch on the DTX-1A board
panel is set to SD for setting the return signal format, set
the aspect ratio for up-conversion to each return input.
Setup switch : S603 and S604 on the DTX-1A board
(Factory setting : All OFF)

*1 Letter box : The HD video signal of 16 : 9 (or aspect ratio set with S604
on the DTX-1A board) is inserted into the picture frame of 4
: 3 as it is and converted to the SD signal. (4 : 3) (The black
level is inserted into the top and bottom of the picture.)
Edge-crop : Video signal as large as 4 : 3 is cut from the HD video signal
and is converted to the SD signal. (4 : 3)
Squeeze :
The HD video signal of 16 : 9 is converted to the SD signal
as it is. (16 : 9)
