6 Installation at the installation site

Ventilation provided by operator

●
Ensure an adequate supply of fresh air in the plant
room by taking appropriate steps on site. For
minimum air change rate, see technical description
for Vitobloc 200 EM-530/660 (versions SCR and
SCR-ready).

The CHP unit draws in fresh air from the plant
room via the air filter on the top of the unit and slit
openings in the side silencer hoods behind the
control panel.
●
The extract air must be discharged freely to the
outside. Obstructions, such as reduced cross-
sections, may result in operational faults. For the
minimum cross-section, see technical description
for Vitobloc 200 EM-530/660 (versions SCR and
SCR-ready).
●
Use the extract air corrugated hose supplied in the
unit pack to connect the extract air duct to the
extract air fan.
●
Take care to ensure that the openings for the air
inlet and air outlet are kept free so that correct
cooling is guaranteed! The fresh air must be free of
dust and must not contain any halogens (chlorine,
fluorine, etc.), sulphur compounds, ammonia or
similar.
●
Adhere to the specifications for supply air/extract
air temperatures (10-35 °C), flow rates and relative
humidity stipulated in the technical description for
Vitobloc 200 EM-530/660 (versions SCR and
SCR-ready).
●
Install self-closing shutters in the extract air duct to
prevent cold air currents flowing backwards when
the machine is idle in winter, as well as a silencer
and a weather grille.

Use weather grilles with suitably sized openings, so
that no flow noise is caused by a reduced cross-
section (noise attenuation). In the case of special
noise prevention requirements, install a silencing
baffle in both the fresh air and the extract air duct.

The fresh air opening should be a sufficient distance
away from the extract air aperture. (Avoid ventilation
"short circuits")
