Transport, storage and siting
5.1

Transport

The EM-530/660 CHP unit (versions SCR and SCR-
ready) and its control panel are supplied by the
manufacturer, ex works, with a pack containing loose
accessories for on-site installation.
WARNING
Heavy loads, risk of tipping over!
Falling loads can cause death or
serious injury
NEVER stand under suspended loads.
Use appropriate lifting gear.
Observe all transport instructions.
WARNING
Non-central centre of gravity!
Death or crushing of body parts
Note the centre of gravity.
Observe markings for chains and lifting
straps.
PLEASE NOTE
Lifting straps or chains can come into
contact with machine components!
Damage to the machine
Use spacers.
Observe lifting instructions.
PLEASE NOTE
Missing or loose
transport brackets!
Material damage due to
uncontrolled contact with forklift
trucks
Mount the transport brackets on the
engine and generator before every
transportation.
Check that the transport brackets are
securely seated.

Transport eyes
The CHP unit must always be transported with
transport brackets.
The transport brackets are included in the standard
delivery and fitted in the CHP unit by the manufacturer
on delivery.
The machine is transported by crane, with ropes
attached at four additional transport eyes.
Screw the transport eyes tightly into the sides of the
base frame; see Fig. 4.
Always transport the machine in a vertical position.
It can also be unloaded and transported with a forklift
truck. In this case, ensure that the forks extend under
the entire CHP unit. Appropriate precautionary
measures must be taken to avoid damage to the
machine.
