Assembling the Control Panel Into the Enclosure

1. Insert the four plastic PCB support pillars into the four holes in the enclosure
base, see Figure 2.2.
2. Place the main PCB on top of the pillars so that the tops of the pillars locate
into the PCB mounting holes.
3. Carefully apply pressure to the PCB in the area immediately surrounding
each of the PCB mounting holes using two thumbs so that the PCB rests
firmly onto the shoulders of the pillars.
Note: Excessive pressure on the PCB will cause irreparable damage.
SW1 — Accord Tamper
Switch SW1 on the Accord control panel PCB is the control tamper. Removing the
enclosure lid releases the tamper switch; this causes a tamper alarm if the system is
not in Programming Mode.
R47 — Loudspeaker Volume
The variable resistor R47, see Figure 2.1, alters the volume of the loudspeaker out-
put from the control panel.
Note: This affects the volume of the exit/entry tones from the output but not the
Alarm tones.

Zone Links

The eight zones, the zone tamper and the bell tamper circuits can be shorted using
the Zone Links provided in the spares pack. It is strongly recommended that this is
done if any the these circuits are not to be used.
