STEP 4 - POLE ASSEMBLY - UPPER ARMS
•
Attach the upper arms to the pole as shown in Image 6 using one (#18) bolt, two (#9) stainless steel washers, four (#8) ABS washers,
2 (#25) gray nylon tubes and one (#19) nut. Tighten bolts snug, but do not over tighten.
Experienced Installer Tip: Do not apply anti-seize or spray adhesive to the threads of the bolt until after it has passed thru the top of
the pole. Doing so beforehand will cause any leftover production debris to stick to the threads of the bolt. Dirty threads will cause the
stainless hardware to lock up or seize. Once a nut and bolt seizes, it must be cut apart and replaced.
