REFRIGERANT CONTROL
Refrigerant flow to the evaporator is con-
trolled through the use of a capillary tube.
Because the suction line capillary tube assem-
bly, sometimes referred to as heat exchanger or
pull-out coil has no moving parts, it will rarely
need servicing. However, if a leak occurs in
the refrigeration system, it is possibly that dirt,
dust, or moisture may collect in the capillary
tube causing the system to go into a vacuum.
Should this occur, it is recommended that dry
nitrogen or a dry refrigerant be forced through
the system to clear blockage.
