The user has to be sure that the fan coil operates by respecting the operational

limits and each operation for installation and/or maintenance must be executed
by qualified personnel only.

Before servicing the filter or the electrical system and, in any case, before
removing the housing, make sure that the unit has been disconnected from the
power mains. The housing must be remounted before the unit is reconnected
4
to the power mains.

7.2.1 CLEANING THE AIR FILTER

Cleaning the filter is a very important activity of ordinary maintenance of a fan coil; if it is clogged,
the fan coil will have lower capacity and higher sound levels.

Cleaning the filter must be done at regular intervals, depending on real functioning and on the
amount of dust in the area where the unit is installed; in any way, it is advised to do it at least once
a month: clean with a normal vacuum cleaner and if dust stubbornly adheres to the filter due to

humidity or to greasy deposits, wash the filter with a solution of neutral detergent and water.
If the air filter is damaged, replace it.

Removing filter
The filter can be easily reached in all models:

YSF-EST MODEL
The filter is located at the bottom side of the unit. To
remove it, operate as follows: let the frontal panel slide

upward until it is blocked; with a cross screwdriver, loosen
the screw of the safety metal plate and release the filter
(Fig. 4a). For reinserting the filter, operate in the opposite

way; make sure that the filter is correctly repositioned.
YSW-EST MODEL
The filter is located at the bottom side of the unit, under
the frontal panel. To remove it, operate as follows: let
the frontal panel slide upward until it is blocked; with a
screwdriver, release the filter by operating on the support
(Fig. 4b). For reinserting the filter, slide it back on its
original position by making a little pressure and lock it to
the internal frame.
