Gas instantaneous water heater

You cannot use the unit if gas or water supply is interrupted.
When the water supply is reinstated, position the control knob to " water" and , after
confirming that water is running, follow the operating instructions further down this page.
In the case of abnormal combustion, odour, or noise, stop use, close the gas valve, and
refer to " Fault Finding" on page 13.
Please ensure that the operation button is pushed to turn the unit off after use. Also
close the gas valve if this heater is to be left for long periods.
Do not use the unit except to supply hot water.
Do not connect to a hot water supply pipe or attach a drain to the outgoing water pipe.
Do not use for bath water, or extended periods. (The unit will turn off after
15-20mins).
CAUTION-TO Avoid Burns: After using the heater at the
" BOIL" setting return the control to a lower temperature
setting, this will reduce the risk of burns to the next person.
Do not touch anything apart from the control knob and
changeover lever immediately after or during use as the
exhaust and surrounding front cover, and ignition window
are hot.
FREEZING-The water should be drained from this heater
if freezing temperatures are expected.
If you are unsure about the operation of this heater, contact
Rinnai or your agent.
THIS APPLIANCE MUST BE INSTALLED BY AN
AUTHORISED PERSON.
CUSTOMER OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Insert batteries as shown. Each battery should be inserted
in the opposite direction. The battery case is on the
bottom left of the unit. When opening or closing the battery
case lid, turn the orange knob 90°.
Take care to insert the batteries correctly. (2 x 1, 1.5V)
This heater will not operate without batteries.
