Front Seat Belt Reminder Operation

When the driver and/or the passenger seat belt is unfastened (driver side: seat belt is
unbuckled; passenger side: seat belt is unbuckled and a weight of 15 kg or more is on
the passenger seat) and the vehicle speed is less than 20 km/h, the SAS control module
sends a "seat belt warning light on request" signal via the mid-speed CAN bus to the
instrument cluster.
When the vehicle speed is 20 km/h or more, the SAS control module additionally sends
a "seat belt warning chime on request" signal to the instrument cluster.
Depending on the signals from the SAS control module the instrument cluster activates
the driver/passenger seat belt warning light and the warning chime. The below table
shows the operation of the seat belt warning lights and the warning chime.
