Frequency: Monthly or after burning 50 bags
By: Homeowner
a. Be sure the appliance is allowed to cool.
b. Open the front cast door and cycle the ash removal
handle - these should be inspected for functionality
c. Inspect for any degradation or deformation.
As the springs heat up and cool down they can
lose tension
If there is a gap showing above the fire pot bottom,
approximately 1/16 inch (1.59mm) or more, it
means the springs have lost their tension
Lost tension cannot keep the floor in the proper
position causing ignition problems and fuel falling
into the ash pan. If noted, call your dealer to
replace the springs.
