9.6 Shutting Down the Implement

Park the tractor on a level surface, place the
transmission in park or neutral and apply the
parking brake, lower the attached implement to the
ground, shut down the engine, remove the key, and
wait for all motion to come to a complete stop
before exiting the tractor.

10. DISCONNECTING THE IMPLEMENT FROM THE TRACTOR

Before disconnecting the implement, the PTO
must be disengaged and tine wheel rotation at a
complete stop. Move the implement to a level
storage location and lower it to the ground. If the
implement is not resting securely on the ground,
block the implement up securely before attempting
to disconnect it from the tractor.
Use extreme care to keep feet and hands from
under the implement and clear of any pinch points
caused by the tractor hitch arms and implement
