1. Status Display Window
This window houses the four blue status LEDs.
2. Status LEDs (one per output zone)
Each Status LED will illuminate blue when the zone it corresponds to is active.
Note: Each Status LED will be lit blue when the zone it corresponds to is active. All four Status
LEDs will blink red when a fault occurs. If a fault occurs, it can be cleared by switching the
A-400Z to Standby, then back to On.
3. Standby Button
Press to switch the amplifier On; press again to return to Standby; the halo ring around the button
illuminate amber for Standby and blue for On.
Note: In order for the A-400Z to operate, the rear panel AC Power Switch must first be
turned On.
4. Zone Push Buttons (one per output zone)
Internally, the A-400Z is a stereo amplifier, capable of driving very low impedance loads. When
each Zone Push Button is pressed, the outputs of the A-400Z are connected to the stereo set of
speaker terminals corresponding to that zone. Pressing the button again deactivates that zone.
Note: The status of each zone is stored when the A-400Z is placed into Standby, and restored
when it is switched back On. The status is NOT stored when the A-400Z is switched Off from the
rear panel Power switch, or when the power is fully removed.
THE DEFAULT STATUS, WHICH THE A-400Z WILL RETURN TO AFTER POWER IS REMOVED,
IS: ZONE 1 = ENABLED; ZONE 2-4 = DISABLED.
