The rear w in d o w d e fro s te r uses a
large a m o u n t o f pow er. To kee p the
b a tte ry drain to a m inim um , tu rn off
th e d e fro s te r as s o o n as th e w in d o w
is clear. The d e fro s te r is a u to m a tica lly
tu rn e d o ff a fte r m axim um o f
u te s o f o p e ra tio n . Heavy a c c u m u la ­
tio n of s n o w and ice s ho uld be
rem o ved b e fo re a ctiva tin g the d e fro s ­
ter.
If several p o w e r c o n s u m e rs are
tu rn e d on s im u ltan eou sly, o r th e b a t­
te ry is o n ly p a rtially cha rge d, it is p o s ­
sib le th a t th e d e fro s te r w ill a u to m a ti­
cally tu rn its e lf off. W hen th is hap­
pens, th e in d ic a to r lam p in side the
s w itc h s ta rts b linking . A s soo n as the
b a tte ry has s u ffic ie n t volta ge , the
d e fro s te r a u to m a tic a lly tu rn s its e lf
b a c k on.
