Roof Rack

Use only those roof racks ap­
proved by MERCEDES-BENZ to
avoid damage to the vehicle.
Follow manufacturer's installation
instructions.
Sedan:
Mount supports only between
markings on border of roof which
are visible when doors are
opened.
Coupe:
Press open the four flaps in the
drip rails, position roof rack sup­
ports and screw them into the
threaded bushings.

Layout of Poly-V-belt Drive

1 Automatic belt tensioner
2 Crankshaft
3 Air conditioning compressor
4 Fan
5 Air pump
6 Alternator
7 Idler pulley
8 Power steering pump
9 Coolant pump
Install the poly-V-belt by starting
at the belt tensioner (1) and pro­
ceed with the other pulleys in
numerical order.
