Playing DivX Video Files

You can enjoy DivX video files on the HDD,
discs, or connected USB devices.

Connecting the USB device

You can connect a USB device to the USB
jack on the recorder to play the DivX video
files or copy to the HDD. Refer to the
operating instructions supplied with the
USB device before connecting.

Notes
• Some USB devices may not work with this
recorder.
• The recorder can recognise Mass Storage Class
(MSC) devices that are FAT-compatible and
non-partitioned. If the MSC devices are
partitioned, the recorder may not recognise the
devices.
Playing DivX video files

Press SYSTEM MENU.
The System Menu appears.

Select "DivX," and press ENTER.

Select "View/Edit DivX files on the
HDD," "View DivX files on a DVD/
CD," or "View DivX files on a USB
Device," and press ENTER.
The album/title list appears.

Select an album or title, and press
H.
To display a title list, select an album
using M/m, and press ENTER.
Playback starts.

page 67.
To stop playback
Press x (stop).
To return to the previous display
Press O RETURN.
Or, see "To switch between the album list
and title list" on page 71.
To scroll the list display by page (Page
mode)
Press SUBTITLE (previous)/ANGLE (next)
while the album/title list is displayed. Each
time you press SUBTITLE (previous)/
ANGLE (next), the album/title list changes
to the previous/next page of the list.
DVD recorder
To change the play information display
(HDD only)
Press DISPLAY repeatedly.
Each time you press the button, information
below the album/title list is changed.
To switch between the album list and title

Press < while the album/title list is
displayed.
Select "Display Mode" using M/m, and
press ENTER.
Select "Album" or "Title" using M/m,
and press ENTER.
Select an album or title in the album/title
list, and press ,.
To display a title list, select an album
using M/m, and press ENTER.
Select an option, and press ENTER.
"Erase" (HDD only): Erases the selected
album/title. Select "Yes" when asked
for confirmation.
"Edit": Allows you to make the
following edits.
• "Album Name" (HDD only): Allows
you to enter or re-enter an album name
(page 40).
• "Title Name" (HDD only): Allows
you to enter or re-enter a title name
(page 40).
