Commission network components
The web server can be operated from a PC with web browser on a local area net-
work (LAN) or via the Internet.
The following illustration shows a typical application with operation via Internet and
home network. The configuration data for the devices (IP address, Subnet mask,
Default gateway und Preferred DNS server) are examples and show the various
relationships (dotted lines).
See the following section for more information: 2.6.1 and 2.6.2 and 4 (communica-
tions).

Operator station on a local area network (LAN)
The operator station requires the following settings, if the web server is operated
from a PC with web browser on a local area network (LAN):
• IP address
• Subnet mask
The addresses in the illustration are examples must be adapted to router address-
ing. See Section 5.1.1 for more details.
