Stereo audio output connector — Connect an audio device, such as powered speakers, to this 3.5 mm, 5-pole direct insertion screw connector for
balanced or unbalanced stereo or mono audio output. Insert the wires into the connector and tighten the screws.
Do not tin the wires!
C
For unbalanced audio output, connect the sleeve(s) to the ground contact. DO NOT connect the sleeve(s) to the negative (-) contacts.
N
Configure the interface for stereo or mono output using rear panel DIP switch 7 (item
and placed on the left output connectors.
c
DIP switches — This bank of DIP switches configures
the interface as shown at right. the default position
for all switches is off (down).
d
Gain switch — Compensates long cable runs. Set the
switch to one of three positions as follows:
Normal (inside position) — Unity (no signal boost)
Medium (middle position) — Mid-level peaking and
gain
Maximum (outside position) — Maximum peaking
and gain, Use this setting for longer cable runs.
N
If the interface output cable is shorter than approximately
125 feet (38.1 m), and gain is set to medium or maximum,
the image may be overcompensated. If the image edges seem to exceed their boundaries or thin lines and sharp edges look fuzzy, reduce the gain setting.
e
Power connector — Connect the included 12 V power supply (or any 9 V to 24 V power supply) to the interface as shown at right.
Insert the wires into the connector and tighten the screws. Polarity is not important.
