Avoid risk to life from
electric shock!
Do not position the universal battery
charger:
In the direct vicinity of water, e.g. near baths or
swimming pools. If water enters the universal
battery charger, it could result in irreparable
damage to the device.
Before cleaning the universal battery charger,
pull the mains lead plug out of the mains socket.
By taking this precaution, you will avoid an
electric shock. If in spite of these precautions,
water or moisture enters the universal battery
charger, pull the mains plug out of the mains
socket.
The product is intended for use in an
indoor environment.
Risk of injury!
Always keep rechargeable batteries out of reach
of children. There is the risk that children may
swallow batteries! Batteries contain toxic sub-
stances that are hazardous to health!
Never leave the universal battery charger
unattended while it is charging.
Batteries can become hot during charging. Never
touch hot batteries! Failure to observe this ad-
vice could result in burn injuries! To prevent this,
pull the mains plug out of the mains socket after
charging is complete. Allow the batteries to cool
before you take them out of the universal battery
charger.
If the mains lead is defective, to avoid danger
have it replaced immediately by one of our
service partners.
The universal battery charger contains no user-
serviceable parts. Opening the universal battery
charger's housing will invalidate your rights un-
der the warranty! In the event of a repair being
necessary, the device must be taken or sent to
one of our local service partners.
The manufacturer accepts no liability for dam-
age caused by opening the housing, attempted

repairs by persons without suitable qualifications
or improper use of universal battery charger!
Old batteries in particular can leak corrosive
chemicals. To prevent this, you should remove
all batteries from the universal battery charger
if it is not going to be used for an extended
period. This will prevent the universal battery
charger from damage caused by corrosive
chemicals leaking from batteries.
This device is not intended to be used by persons
(including children) with restricted physical,
sensory or mental abilities or with insufficient
experience and/or knowledge, unless they are
supervised by a person who is responsible for
their safety or they have received instruction on
how to use the device from such a responsible
person.
Children should be supervised in order to
ensure that they do not play with the device.
Handling rechargeable batteries

Do not use a battery if it is damaged or corroded.
Avoid skin contact with leaky batteries. The
corrosive chemicals leaking from them can lead
to skin irritation.
If a battery in the universal battery charger
starts to leak, clean it with a dry cloth. Wear
protective gloves!
Preparing the product for use
Q
Before using the product for the first time, check
the device and its accessories for completeness
and visible signs of damage.
Place the universal battery charger on a flat,
level, scratch-proof and anti-slip supporting
surface.
Check the technical data against the character-
istics of your mains supply. If the characteristics
match each other, insert the mains plug into a
mains socket. The LEDs flash orange three times.
The universal battery charger is now ready for
use.
