The right end of the transfer unit is attached to the terminal from the high voltage
power supply when you close the front cover.
The transfer roller
receives a positive charge
from the high voltage
power supply.
The discharge plate
removes charge that was
applied to the paper
during paper transfer.
This helps paper move
away from the transfer
roller.
