4. With a ssista n t in cab, lift g la ss and w ea
therstrip in p osition outside of cab opening. Hook
lip of w eatherstrip over low er pinchweld flange and
then push inward on g la ss while a ssista n t inside
cab pulls chalk lin e from groove of rubber w eather
str ip . W eatherstrip lip should be lifted overp in ch -
w eld flange a s strin g is pulled. Check entire p e r
im eter of w eatherstrip to be su re w eatherstrip is
over pinchweld flange.
ELECTRIC WINDSHIELD
T w o-speed
e le c tr ic type w indshield w ipers
are used on a ll S e r ie s 70 conventional cab m odels
and a ll s te e l tilt cab m odels covered by this man
ual. Type of wiper used on rear engine m odels is
determ ined by the body builder.
A sin g le w iper m otor, mounted on engine sid e
of cowl, pow ers both w iper blades on conventional
cab m odels. Two separate m otors are u sed with
ste e l tilt cab m odels w here each w iper m otor is
bracket mounted to rear sid e of cowl under dash.
Steel tilt cab m odels employ sep arate wiper
motor control sw itches; the left sw itch incorpor
ates a push-type control for operation of w indshield
w ash ers.
WIPER ARM ADJUSTMENT
To adjust sweep of blades to provide m aximum
v isib ility , turn on w ip ers, then note sw eep of arm s.

CONVENTIONAL CAB MODELS
1. P u ll outer end of arm away from g la ss
which w ill trip lock spring at b a se of arm and r e
le a s e spring from undercut of pivot shaft.
2. While holding arm in th is p osition , pull out
ward on cap sectio n at b ase of arm to rem ove the
arm .
3. Arm can be rein sta lled in any one of se v
era l p osition s due to serra tio n s on pivot shaft and
in arm cap.
