Changing the MENU settings
To make the MENU display disappear
Press MENU.
Note
When you let the subject monitor the shot
(Mirror mode), the menu display does not
appear.
Menu items are displayed as the following
seven icons:

Selecting the mode setting of each item

Menu items differ according to whether the POWER switch is set to PLAYER or CAMERA.

* This item is displayed only when the STANDBY switch is set to STANDBY.
Notes on the SteadyShot function
•The SteadyShot function will not correct excessive camera-shake.
•Attachment of a conversion lens (not supplied) may influence the SteadyShot function.
Meaning
To activate digital zoom. More than 20 to 80
zoom is performed digitally (p. 27)
OFF To prevent the deterioration of the picture quality

ON To record a 16:9 wide picture (p. 47)
To compensate for camera-shake
OFF To cancel the SteadyShot function. Natural pictures
are produced when shooting a stationary object
with a tripod.
To use the NightShot Light function (p. 31)
OFF To cancel the NightShot Light function
