2 Select a network profile and
press O. The items described
below for the current setting
status appear.
Note: If you want to define a new
profile, select No entries and
press O and enter each item.
Using the synchronisation
function requires an additional
service subscription. For
detailed information, consult the
SmarTone web site. Once you
have completed the required
information, you will be sent an
SMS to confirm your subscrip-
tion.
Profile:
Displays the profile
name of your Infrared
system.
Server URL: Displays the server
URL.

User Name: Displays the phone
manufacturer's name.
Password: Displays the current
password.
Method:
Displays the following
synchronisation
methods
Mobile → Server (Normal):
Only data that has been changed
is exchanged between the
phone and the server.
Mobile → Server (Replace):
All data on the server is replaced
with the phone data.
Selected Data: Selects data in the
Phonebook, Schedule,
and To Do list.
Database (Phonebook): Registers
a database name for
Phonebook.
Database (Schedule): Registers a
database name for
Schedule.
Database (To Do): Registers a
database name for To
Do.
3 Select an item and edit it if
desired.
4 Press [Start] and press [YES] to
start synchronization.
Synchronises data between the
phone and a computer
You can synchronize data via
Bluetooth™, Infrared, or USB.
1 Select Local on the
Synchronise display and press
O.

Profile, User Name, Pass-
word, Communication
Method, and Selected Data.
• If you want to define a new
profile, select No entries,
press O and enter each item.
• For an explanation of all the
above items except Method,
see p. xx "To synchronise
data between the phone and
a network server".
• Communication Method:
Select Bluetooth, Infrared,
or USB.
3 Select other items and edit if
desired.
4 Press [Start] and press [YES] to
start synchronization.
