The Tyco/American Dynamics has two models with different
operation for each. This User Guide is for Model A. The
Model A can be identified by the operation of the onboard
User Guide
DVR. When accessing the onboard DVR, the Model A
version will prompt for a password.

The Model A version can also be identified by the use of
two remote controls. The larger remote is for the operation
of the ePVM while the smaller remote is used to operate the
onboard DVR.

    OSD function Configure the monitor using the onscreen display (OSD) menus and submenus. Changes are immediately saved and implemented. INT.CAM menu  Picture (Advanced Setting) Picture Mode Select the picture mode. Brightness Adjust the brightness of the image.      Lens Here you can configure the lens setting. 1. ALC / ELC : If you are using a lens with manual Iris, set this item to ELC. If you are using a Iris controlled lens, set it to ALC. If you choose ALC, you will be able to select if the camera is used indoors or outdoors.

    1. BRIGHTNESS [0 ~20] : This function is used to adjust the brightness of the camera picture. 2. SHUTTER 2-1 AUTO / MANUAL / FLICKER selectable·MANUAL [1/60(1/50), 1/120, 1/240, 1/500, 1/1000, 1/2000,1/4000, 1/8000, 1/16000, 1/30000,1/60000] : You can select one of options from 1/60(1/50) to 1/60000 for the fixed high speed electronic shutter, which is mostly used for imaging a fast moving object.

     Backlight When there is a strong backlight behind the object, clear images of the background as well as the object can still be obtained by using the BACKLIGHT function. 1. OFF : Not being used. 2. HLC (High Light Compensation) : This function is used to suppress or mask a strong light source (for example, headlights of cars during nighttime) so that other subjects can be seen in more detail.
  • Page 24 3. WDR : The WDR(Wide Dynamic Range) function works to correct excessive light within the frame to produce a usable image. When the image has simultaneous bright and dark areas, it makes both areas distinct. If you select WDR, a submenu appears where you can make finer adjustments. 3-1WEIGHT [MIDDLE, HIGH, LOW] : Select the WDR level of the camera.

SD MEMORY INSTALLATION 1.1 Format SD Memory Insert SD memory into SD card slot on your PC and format it in FAT32. * Be sure to format SD Card in FAT32 and set default allocation size to below 32KB After formatting, take SD Memory from your PC and insert it into SD slot on PVM.
