8 Servicing and Maintenance

ATTENTION
The surface of the motor must be kept free of dirt.
The motor shaft is spinning in permanently greased
ball bearings (with special grease and increased
bearing play) and does not require any special
maintenance.

Pumps with double mechanical seal (-GD) are
identified by the letters GLRD stamped in on the
motor side of the pump foot and must include an oil
receiver with a capacity of 0.8 litres. Check this
through the inspection window.
Oil receiver Castrol WHITEMOR WOM14 or
equivalent oil.
Cause
At least two of the power supply
leads have failed
Overload has tripped
One of the supply leads has failed
Impeller faulty
Motor bearing faulty
Pump locked up mechanically
High on/of cycling frequency
Wrong direction of rotation of
impeller
Lime or other deposits
