1. Open the front cover and rotate the handwheel

counterclockwise to bring the needle clamp to its
highest position.
2. Slide the subsidiary looper to the left direction and
swing it clockwise to the right.
3. Engage the threading lever to the threading position.
4. Rethread the upper looper (page 19). For 4-thread
serging, replace the second needle. (page 20)
5. Rethread the needle. (page 21) Engage the threading
lever to the serging position.
6. Close the blade cover and front cover.
7. Lower the foot and sew a test stitch.
